Project Narrative
Encore is an intimate cocktail bar and lounge located in the heart of Cleveland’s Playhouse Square, designed to extend the energy and elegance of the theater district into a refined social destination. Situated at street level, the bar provides a welcoming place for guests to gather before and after performances, as well as a destination in its own right. The program emphasizes craft cocktails, curated small bites, and a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere that encourages conversation, connection, and lingering within one of downtown Cleveland’s most active cultural corridors.
Inspired by its theatrical context, Encore’s program is rooted in storytelling, timing, and experience. Carefully scaled seating supports both intimate moments and small group gatherings, while the bar serves as the social anchor of the space. The venue accommodates casual visits as well as semi private events, offering flexibility for post show celebrations, cultural gatherings, and neighborhood nightlife. As part of the ongoing evolution of Playhouse Square, Encore contributes to the district’s social and cultural fabric by creating a space where hospitality, performance, and community intersect.
